basic image editor?

    Hey crew,

    I've been doing a little 'web' work of late, and I've found I could really benefit from a basic image editor, something that can just take in basic images and bucket fill, colour pick, etc.

    I know there's The Gimp (excellent) but I'd like to perhaps find something that doesn't require X11.

    Recommendations are welcome!

    I second Seashore, you can download it from here:
    www.opensourcemac.org

    Also search the forum here with the keyword macpaint and you'll find others that are also free.

    DrawIt there is a free Lite version as well that might be all you need.

    Acorn is also excellent.
