    Heyyyy,

The only programming language I know is BASIC haha,
anyway, I want to be able to write a BASIC program that I can compile to a .app file so I can share it with fellow Mac users.

Are there any BASIC programming apps out there or is the language simply dead?

    Thanks

    Yes.

REALbasic is very popular with shareware developers. It is also recommended by Microsoft for porting VisualBASIC applications to the Mac.

Chipmunk Basic is a traditional command line BASIC environment.

Future BASIC, the successor to ZBASIC, is now freeware.

Omikron Basic is another commercial BASIC development environment.

Wow, blast from the past. I remember using Chipmunk Basic in about 1995 or so. Quite surprised it is still about actually.
