Basic Safari extension questions

I just installed some Safari extensions.

1. Are extensions synched to Safari on all Macs using the same iCloud account?
2. Will having too many extensions installed slow performance of Safari?

For second question the answer should be yes.

For first, well, at least I don't know yet.
