Can someone please explain how someone can rename a POI after staring (saving) it?

Id like to have it saved as personalized name and not the address's name.

thanks

I was wondering the same thing. I don't want to save my dad's address as 4554 Mockingbird etc... I want to save it as "Dad". Seems pretty stupid this way.

Even if you go to googlemaps on your PC, you can't change the favorite name.

Oh, and let me know if anyone figures out an easy way to transfer bookmarks from Applemaps to Googlemaps (besides copy/pasting one at a time).

Close Google Maps. Go to www.google.com/bookmarks and you'll see the starred addresses. Edit the name and save. Open Google Maps and the names should be updated. Note, this doesn't seem to work for starred items that already have a place name.

I actually prefer the Apple maps interface.

Also, I prefer the previous google maps. This new version definitely seems unpolished.

Wow, I can't agree with you there. I think Google did a terrific job and it seems quite slick and polished to me.
