I just cut the cable again and I'm using my AppleTV full time. I do miss the ability to yell "Xbox Pause" and "Xbox Play" which used to send IR commands to my Comcast cable box.

I know the AppleTV 4 has an IR receiver according to its specs page but it will not listen to the Xbox One. I've tried to change the device control setting to the AppleTV4 listing that is available but it doesn't seem to work. I've also tried the other AppleTV settings found in the Device Control section of the Xbox One but they don't work either. Of course, I've verified that the AppleTV is in a location where it can receive IR commands sent via the Kinect.

Has anyone had any luck with this? If so, please let me know.

Never thought of trying this but I'd love to know if someone could get it to work. It's not something my wife and I use often but is extremely useful when we do.
