Batch files on the mac

Hello everyone,

Congrulations on the great forum, most questions I had about the Mac I found existing posts.

Please, is there some post/FAQ on how to make a shell script on the Mac to copy files over to a Windows machine on the same network as the Mac?

I simply want to back up some files on my Mac over to my PC on same LAN.

Is there some equivalent to Robocopy/Rsync for Mac?

There is "rsync" for Mac OS X and even a GUI program called ChronoSync.
