Hey Everyone.
Currently i have a G5 connected to a Omneon broadcast sever. I set timed records up on the omneon and it captures the media into the raid. i can then acess this material from my G5 via fibre. There is someone else who watchs the material as it is ingested and logs any major events that happen.
At the moment the logger is writing this info down on paper and i have to serch through the hours of material to find the clips.
i have done work before with importing batch lists from tape based material but was wondering if there is a way to import a batch list that will connect with media already on the server. ive been trying to do this over the last few weeks with no luck.
basically i need the imported clips to be subclips of the master clip
also am i looking at making this job harder than it has to be? would XML make this possible.
