Hi there

Does anyone know if there's a significant difference/ battery performance in 2016 no touch bar (nTB) 13'' vs the latest 2017 13'' nTB?

I currently have a 2016 nTB 13'' and I get a battery of about 4 hours at most with highest resolution ("More Space") set and 2-3 notches down in brightness. While twitter is open, surfing web, occasional YouTube, etc.

And I don't understand how Apple gets apparently 10 hours of non stop iTunes & Movie playback.

Also the nTB 13'' has about 4500 mAH, that's slightly better than phablet smartphones these days. I was really surprised that it was that low mAH.

Nothing abnormal going on. The apps that I've open are using normal CPU/ Ram.

Is it possible that some 2016 models still have battery issues despite software updates (I'm on High Sierra)?

Smartphones use 3.7V or 3.8V batteries, MBP uses 11.4V battery. The two are not comparable.
When comparing batteries, use the Wh figure instead (54.5Wh for MBP, 10.35Wh for the iPhone X for example).

Oh ok thanks for clarifying.

Still hope the 2018 MBP models come with larger terraced batteries that actually give at least 10 hours of battery life.
