Hi,

I have had this happen to me quite a lot recently. I will be on 30% battery, and then all of a sudden my phone just dies. Flat out. Refuses to turn on until I plug it in to a charger, where it will turn on and then claim it instantly has 26% battery or something like that.

Any ideas how to fix this? This is happening on my iPhone 6 and also my gf's iPhone 6S.

Is it cold?
Is what cold?

I use it with average temperatures in the UK. Perhaps in the range of 15-20 degrees centigrade?

The phone itself is again... average temperature.

I was referring to outside temps as rapid drain or powering off can occur during cold temps.

My 6S+ has shut down twice since launch, and both times has been while playing with it outside. So I think temperature is a factor here. However, I'm talking about ~5°C so I can't really understand how a phone can be so temperature sensitive.

If they are under warranty Apple will swap the batteries out if they are causing issues. They will probably want you to restore them first though to eliminate any concern of software causing problems.
