1- If i just keep the external HDDD plugged in all the time..(not use it,just keep plugged in), does my macbook air use more battery than otherwise?

2- I use a thunderbolt to ethernet connector..I turn off wifi because i use wired internet using this connector.does macbook air use more battery because it uses a thunderbolt and ethernet..when compared to no thunderbolt and just WIFI ?

3- If i keep the earphone plugged in and not use out, does macbook air use more battery than otherwise?

Yes, because your external drive draws power from your MBA and hence it'll take a small hit on your battery life.

I think the difference would be negligible.

    No.
