I have a couple of questions regarding the early 2008 15" MBP.

    1. I'm going to be upgrading the RAM in mid September since 2GB is killing me with Lion. I have read that a 4Gb and a 2GB is the most this laptop can handle. Can someone tell me a good place to buy this stuff? Just the RAM, I can install it myself. Somewhere not too expensive though, just something that will be sure to work for at least 2 more years.

    2. My current battery is up to 629 cycles which now last about only 30 minutes each. I was also wondering where a good place is to get batteries. I don't know if there's a difference between the compatible batteries and the actual things from apple (apart from the price) so if someone knows something about those and could let me know, that'd be great too.

    Thanks

probably the best suppliers of apple hardware(In My Oppinion), check out OWC; Other World Computing. They will have the RAM and probably the Battery as well. Some of their batteries are self proclaimed "longer last then apple batteries" they are not available for all macbook models however so you will have to check it out yourself.

OWC cost more but they are always at par with apple requirements, perfectly compatible, and long warranties.
    Happy Hunting :D
