Watson: "Have you heard about this yellow screen problem on the new iPhone 4S, Holmes? I believe they're calling it Yellowgate."
Holmes: "It's Lemon Entry my dear Watson."

Never believed this "let the screen bed in" before. But it really works.

After seeing a friends 4s with a nice crisp white display next to my yellow tint I booked a genius appt for Monday morning. At the same time I decided to increase the brightness to about 60% after reading some of the posts on here.

Guess what 2 days later the screen has lost all the yellow and is now a perfect blueish white that I was used to on the 1P4.

how about the battery ????? last longer ?????

One thing that should be noted is that batteries don't reach their full potential before they have run through some cycles. However that doesn't mean that there is no problem.

Yellow and battery problems . I noticed inmediately.

They better fix them quickly, specially the battery issue. I gave my wife my iphone 4. Will have to get it back.

Turned off ping

Turned off Siri Raise to speak

Turned off Location Services > System services > iads - diagnostics - setting time zone.

Batteries lasting a longer since I did the above.

Im sorry but what is Yellowgate?

Is it the problem with the glue that gives yellowish hints to the screen -- which goes away 100% of the time?

Just wondering?

My phone seems to easily slip out of my hand, should I call this gripgate or slipperygate? Should I start a whole thread on this issue or can we talk about it here?

This is serious guys!

KYGate?

Just use the other hand. ;)

If you have the "yellow" tint, you probably have a properly calibrated screen and is more true to color than the typical cool biased blue screen colors. So in essence, it's a bluegate issue. A properly calibrated tv will appear more "yellow".
