Battery Back-up System for Time Capsule

If I were to get a UPS and surge protector for the Time Capsule, does it need to be the kind that outputs in sine wave (like the Smart UPS line by APC)? I know that iMacs are a bit picky when it comes to the waveform type output of the UPS used and I'm wondering if the Time Capsule behaves similarly.

oops... that's "battery" not "battary" LOL 🙂
