Battery Backups

Does anyone have any recommendations on which ones work the best, I am talking about the batteries that will recharge your iPhone on the go. I am looking at the one that is a case and portable battery, also the external one you connect to the Sync port and it runs off of there while charging your internal battery.

I assume many ppl have different views but I really need to narrow this down and get one 🙂
