I'm not a home at the moment, so I'm unable to take a screen shot. But, I got my new C2D Macbook earlier this week. The first thing I did was calibrate the battery as I read on here it was a good idea.

Nonetheless, Coconut Battery says my battery capacity is at 96% . . . Why in the world would a brand new battery be at 96? I suppose this could be common, but I'm just curious.

Thanks, in advance.

The MacBook lets the battery discharge while it is plugged in down to about 94% and then begins to recharge the battery. This allows for fewer recharge cycles, thus extending the life of your battery.
