battery dead

My PowerBooksG4 is dead and now im working using the power source cable. Its on the powerplug all the time, can this be hazzardous for the laptop? I mean can it harm it by not working through the battery any more?

It should not effect the laptop in anyway by just using the AC power source.

It is no different than when the battery is fully charged.
