I've had my 12 Mini for less than a year (10 months) but the battery already says it's down to 90% health. To me this seems like a LOT for less than a year. Is anyone else having similar degradation rates?

That's normal. It would only abnormal if it were below 80%. Then Apple's warranty kicks in and you get a replacement. You must understand that the health rating is very vague. Don't read it any kind os precise measurement.

As mentioned, it’s only a guide and isn’t very accurate. Plus a smaller battery will degrade quicker than a larger battery as it has a smaller peak capacity to start with.

Unless you’re noticing a big change, I wouldn’t worry too much.

I guess 90% health at a year is normal if you charge overnight.

My 2.5-year old iPhone X is at 93%, and my 12 mini purchased in February is still at 100% health. I charge for about 30 minutes in the morning if the phone is low, but otherwise I normally only charge in the car with an occasional 10-100% charge cycle to re-calibrate the gauge.

Unless I find a fix for the idle drain on my 12 mini, I dread the runtime with 10% or more degradation.
