I'm literally watching my battery drain on my 2012 Unibody 13" Macbook Pro.

I replaced the battery (Newer) 34 months ago. Do I need a new one?
I can't imagine what is using the power up so quickly. I have used Airmail and Safari so far (not concurrently) and the battery dropped from 54% to 26% in about 45 minutes.

Cycle count: 25
Condition: Normal

FruitJuice says the battery is at 103% of Factory Capacity and the condition is Good.

I think I even charged it to 100% the last time I used it maybe two weeks ago and when I booted up, it was at 54%.
Perhaps Newer batteries (from OWC) are not very good.

Is there an app that shows the real time power draw of apps?

Down to 17%!

Thanks.

Have you checked activity monitor? It's preinstalled on your Mac.
It tells you which app uses the most power.

Probably. 3 years is a reasonable lifetime for a battery, particularly a potentially lower-tier aftermarket one. Plus, 25 cycles in 3 years means you keep it plugged in all the time or you just let it sit idle, both of which are bad for Li-Ion batteries.

From what I've observed, "replacement" batteries never seem to last as long as the original, factory-installed battery did.

Buying replacement batteries is equivalent to a crapshoot.
Or... like Forrest Gump observed, a box of chocolates:
"You never know what you're going to get...."

After reading some forum threads, getting around 3 years seems to be better than average. Could be a lot worse. At least it's not swelling.
My MPB isn't used very often and does sit idly around for weeks on end. When in use, its plugged in probably 70% of the time. I am more likely to use my iPad Pro when traveling.
Perhaps it's time to buy one more battery for this guy.
