Don't worry about it. It's normal. Give it some time. If it's still draining like crazy after a week, MAYBE you have an issue.
Are you a software developer or engineer? Have you read the comments of the users and what they experienced? One had 86% battery health before the update and now his device has a message saying contacting Apple Support to replace his battery. That is not a significant drop. The percentage number is almost meaningless over the short term. You'd have to track it over a long term to observe a meaningful trend.
Battery Health is an estimate and a lot of times it changes. I see nothing to worry about with a new phone. On my brand new iPhone 11, my battery health dropped from 100% to 98% after the update.

Perhaps refraining from being dismissive? What do you want me to say? Then just pretend I said that.
My mistake, I changed the link. It was 86 down to 66.66%! Their phone is right. The battery is stuffed, time to get a new one.
Fortunately, Apple Genius support doesn't see it that way.Battery Health is an estimate and a lot of times it changes. I see nothing to worry about with a new phone.
A sudden drop of two percent for a brand new device a few months old substantiated by many claims which are even worse is indicative of an issue. I would recommend you check your battery health.A 2% drop means nothing. Monitor it over time, you will see it fluctuates up and down. An overall trend is what you need to be paying attention to.

You have iPhone 12? It won't. It only affects **some** 11s and below.I feel cheated since my battery health didn't drop with the update. This isn't fair!
You meant the "maximum capacity"? The way I read what you wrote, and others may as well, is your battery drained 2% faster than normal. Misunderstood what you said. The links you posted were for drain, not maximum capacity in the battery health. Or - maybe I'm more confused by what you mean now?Have you read the developer's thread? This isn't normal. There's a difference between battery health and battery drain. The life of your battery has been shortened by this update.
An Apple Genius told you the battery health reading is absolute and not an estimate?Fortunately, Apple Genius support doesn't see it that way.
Personally, I have extended warranty so I'm not concerned too much. But I try not to be selfish.
It didn't on my XS Max either. I bet using the phone affects **some** 11s and below. If my battery dropped like 10% in a day I might be concerned but 2% is probably within the margin of error. You have iPhone 12? It won't. It only affects **some** 11s and below.
This isn't an issue at all and people caring way too much about battery health. My XS Max had a battery health of 100% for almost two years, but dropped in like 3-4 days to 95-96%. Battery just degrade over time. You have a problem if your battery degrade bellow 80% sooner than expected, otherwise, there's nothing to panic. Your phone can degrade to 98% after a month, but can be stuck at this % for a year...A sudden drop of two percent for a brand new device a few months old substantiated by many claims which are even worse is indicative of an issue. I would recommend you check your battery health.
And it takes me about 24 months to reach 97%. Source: my own Apple devices over many years.

My December 2017 iPhone X was on 12.4.1 until 14.2 dropped. My capacity said 86% using the native app and coconut battery. After the update to 14.2 it still read 86% and this morning it’s still at 86%...You have iPhone 12? It won't. It only affects **some** 11s and below.
