I have an iPad mini 4 that's only a couple of months old. Ever since upgrading to iOS 10 it feels like my battery has been cut in half.

Anyone else experiencing battery issues ever since updating there iPads to IOS 10?

Nope, iPad Air, iPad Pro, both iPhone 6S+s, and an iPhone 5C are about where they were. When did you upgrade to iOS 10? If it has only been a day, it's probably spending time re-indexing the files and battery life should return to normal after a day or two. If it has been longer than a day, you can go to Settings > Battery and see what is causing the battery drain. It may be a non-optimized app running in the background.

Battery life appears to be about the same on my mini 4. As the other poster suggested though battery life can take a hit for the first day or two and then return to normal. If it has been longer than that investigate if you have a vampire app. Often times turning it off and then on again is enough to fix issues like this.

I've had mine installed since launch and experiencing big drain, I'll post pics of the battery use later on.

This has happened to me a couple of times in the past with iOS upgrades. 100% of the time it is fixed for me by connecting to iTunes, doing a backup, and then doing a full restore from backup.

Now I just always do that as part of any major iOS upgrade.

My Mini 4 battery life may have gone down a little but it may be my imagination. I'm still surpassing the suggested 10 hours of use per charge though.

Battery life on my 9.7" iPad Pro seems to drain faster when I am playing videos in the protube app (especially in PIP mode), but otherwise, battery life seems more or less the same.

9.7 Pro here after a few battery cycles and disabling all the Junk iOS 10 has running in the background. My battery life went from 10 hours in my usage pattern to 11+

But everyone's usage pattern is different.

Just want to share my opinion i have an ipad air 2, i installed ios 10 last sunday, not a battery drain as serious as my iphone 6s but yes the device consumes a little more battery now. Battery percentages drop a little faster.

Thanks for you

Thanks for your advice, in the process of doing that now. I was also reading that it's recommended to leave your iPad plugged in overnight to help the changes take effect.

Is that something you would also recommend doing?

I didn't know about that, but coincidentally that is typically how I charge my iPad anyway.

I did a fresh install on both my iPad mini 4 and iPhone 6s. Battery seems to be a lot better.

Still on day one so I'll report back with more results.

Since iOS 10 I easily get over 10 hours usage on my iPad Pro 9.7. Was only getting around 9 on iOS 9. Standby is amazing too. (Wifi model)
