Hello, I guess there have been a lot of topics like this but can't find recent ones

My phone loses around 8% over night, every app in multitasking is closed, background app refresh is turned off, battery health 100%

I tried with wifi on and off, no difference

on iphones before I lost like 1-2 percent over night, but now 8, is this normal or?

I had battery drain in night and when I used my phone. I turned off screen time, I reboot my phone and now it’s all normal, and have given my phone a really good boost.

For an experiment, force quit every app, turn on Low Battery Mode, and turn on Airplane Mode the next time it's left on overnight. The next morning, the battery should not be drained more than 1%. Often zero

icloud is disabled, I mean, I sync only contacts and wallet, photos and other stuff is off

I've got several old iPhones I don't use that are off and in a drawer. When I boot them up once a month, the battery charge level in all of them has dropped quite a bit.
The iPhone drains the battery slowly even when it's off

I noticed this too. If Battery tech has improved then why is it that my old Palm Pre 2 sitting in my draw powered off only lost 12 percent in 8 months but my iPhone SE completely died powered off for 3 weeks????

I don't think iPhones are ever completely off. The clock certainly needs to keep running and it obviously isn't as efficient as a Casio watch.

Not normal at all.
” Overnight “ doesn’t tell us how many hours, but in my typical 7 hrs night, my iPhone loses 0/1%.
And I have everything turned on.
Try to restore the phone and set it up like a new iPhone.

Are your emails set to Fetch or Push?

not using apple mail app, so it's off completely

using gmail, with notifications on, but zero emails through night

I did that now, just put in Airplane Mode, didn't set low battery mode

and it lost 0% overnight

weird, maybe bad cellular reception..but I had XS before this and it was ok

8 hours, so it is 1% per hour
Definitely not normal.

It seems to much to be caused just by low signal strength. 🤔
To me is some app that went rogue and is constantly trying to send/receive data.

damn, again 9-10% when not in airplane mode

airplane mode 0%

what the heck, cellular reception is normal

I tried turning wifi off and cellular on - no effect, battery drain persistant

It is an app trying to connect over the cellular and WiFi

but which app, I mean, I should delete 40 apps and try 1 by 1 every night :D

Now when using iphone through day, I loose 1% in few minutes not even touching it, maybe reply on 1 whatsapp message..something isn't right

I will need to do a restore and setup a new phone to eliminate apps doing this

Try to disable screen time, restart the phone and see how it’s going.
I can't believe how ignorant I am, first reply in this topic is yours and that is a solution

lost 2% last night with screen time disabled, thanks

wtf is with that screen time?

Was your shared screen time across devices turned on? I just got myself an iPhone 11 and found it odd having 8-10% battery drain overnight and found your post and still trying to find a solution.

hmm don't know what that is, I have only iPhone, only apple device
