Have you tried any troubleshooting? Restarting? Checking what apps might be using the battery? Resetting all settings? Etc.ever since I updated to the 11.1.1 on my iPhone SE it’s been draining the battery like crazy!! Help?
Not everyone by far is suffering significant battery issues, let alone any really. Just telling people there's nothing they could even try without knowing anything else and then trying out some things (especially if someone just stated noticing something after one particular update and not all throughout), is kind of disingenuous. There is absolutely nothing you can do. iOS 11 is just a bad release for older phones. My 7 Plus battery life is 60% of what it was on iOS 10.3.3. Lasts only 7 hours of use. Don't bother doing a clean install or a restore. You will just waste your time.
Only the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X get good battery life on iOS 11

The only thing you can suggest is a restore and setup as new which isn't really a good option for users because of so much data being stored on the device and because Apps and all the other services are sandboxed they don't cause much of a difference in battery life. There are plenty things you can try even before a restore, especially in a situation where we don't even know what has been tried or what could be going on.The only thing you can suggest is a restore and setup as new which isn't really a good option for users because of so much data being stored on the device and because Apps and all the other services are sandboxed they don't cause much of a difference in battery life. Incorrect. My Air 2 battery life is better on iOS 11 than iOS 10. Without a doubt. There is absolutely nothing you can do. iOS 11 is just a bad release for older phones. I agree, my Air2 has been great. 11-12 hours usage with 10% left. My 6S has been hit or miss. Best was 8 hours usage, average is more like 7Incorrect. My Air 2 battery life is better on iOS 11 than iOS 10. Without a doubt.
The 6s should last a day and my 7 Plus 2 days. Now they have both halved. My 6s, my wife's 6, daughter's 6, and son's 5s ALL exhibiting crazy battery drain. Lasting less than half what it usually does (My 6s barely lasting 4 hours under normal usage that would last the whole day). Mine and my wife's on 11.1.1. Think my son and daughter on 11.1. So bad, I did a factory refresh and reinstalled everything (didn't help). Trying to troubleshoot, I did decide to turn off wifi when not at home (aka wouldn't normally be connected to wifi anything) and it seemed to be better (not great) but didn't get a chance to really verify it as I just updated to 11.1.2 as desperate to try and do something to make it better...
Have an Air 2, and ipad pro 10.5 - haven't really had a chance to validate them on the change...

And telling those of us with these issues that it will be ok is also disingenuous.
iOS 11 ruined my phone and my wife's phone. Even tried restoring and running without ANY 3rd party apps for a day. No difference. Batteries are less than a year old on both our phones. So, no. It's not degradation. And, no, it's not a rogue app. And yes, it started immediately after updating to 11.
I don't really care if someone's iPad out there is running great on iOS 11. That is completely irrelevant and it's pointless for you to say "don't give up!" when some of us have done everything and found that there is no solution.
Where did anything like that come up here from me?And telling those of us with these issues that it will be ok is also disingenuous.

Take it back to Apple then.... because if there really is an issue they will swap out, that’s my experience anyway. If there is not, they won’t.
3 hours SOT?Welp...
Nope. They basically just told me today that my battery is fine and that getting 15 hours standby or 3 hours use from an iPhone 6S on iOS 11 is to be expected because “it’s a very computationally intensive OS.”
So, nope. It’s not ok to put 11 on an old phone. Even Apple admits it.
