Hello,

The iPad Pro 9.7 drains faster than the standard charger can charge it while multitasking.

Proof? Watch a youtube video and surf safari. Battery goes down steadily.

Don't worry, in a few months they will probably charge you $50 for the 12w charger that doesn't charge the 12.9" iPad Pro effectively and call it fast charging.

How bright is the screen while charging?

If this happens to me, I'll take the 10 amp one into the Apple Store and have them replace it with a 12 amp.

to swap it out for a unit that's not defective.

To swap the charger - not the iPad. I've never had any issues with the battery draining while charging & using. As long as I don't have any issues, I'll be fine with the 10 amp. If I have problems, they can give me a better charger.

My Air 2 charger is better than what comes with the Pro? I don't get that.

Except this one is smaller. Signs that the A9X chip is ineffecient?
I want to coin this term before it becomes a thing.

All reports are that its gets the best battery life of any iPad yet. So even if true, not an issue at all. Your "coined" term won't go far.

Doing it as I post watching stressful 1440p video on YouTube simultaneously surfing and posting on these forums. True Tone on screen brightness about 30%. Battery is charging went from 76 to 77 now 78%.

This one tough little device.

@Wackery how bright was the display? My iPad Air 2's brightness levels usually stay between 50% or well under. I'm it'll be the same with the Pro, since the display is even brighter.

I was able to charge last night while watching a movie on HBO GO, so no draingate for me yet.

Battery life seems better than my Air 2 as well.. which was no slouch. Right now I'm at 79% with 4 house and 16 minutes of usage.
