Ultra
Just coz if i see big difference, may be worth trying medium too ...

what about your self?

I also went with the ultra.

Preliminary Results

Ran down to 0% - Swapped Profile with iFunBox before dying completey
Charged to 100% - Finished at ~3:00PM - Unplugged
3:00PM - 100%
4:00PM - 100%
4:30PM - 99%
5:00PM - 98%
5:30PM - 97%

Battery Detective is reporting -235mA Drain and 90.42% Battery Charge (As opposed to the display on the status bar of 97%) and ensured to kill app running apps

By the time I checked all of those settings - it dropped to 96%

Not looking too promising because that's 4% over 2-3 hours with absolutely no use (not even turning the screen on - other than to look at the battery level before it relocked itself)

I remember messing with the com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist back in the 3.1.3 days on my 3Gs. Gave it some very strange numbers, checked logs, even deleted it. Never got iOS to do anything different. I came to the conclusion that iOS doesn't respect the settings put forth in it and instead uses the hardcoded settings in the power.bundle and that the com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefaults.plist is just a leftover from the Mac OS X source.

I will post my results once i get some numbers...

I have turn off Wifi, cannot turn off 3G as I m using Three UK and Three network only support 3G network not 2G/Edge/GSM. disable location services, turn off Photo Stream, turn off Document and data, brightness set to 40%, turn off push mail, turn off MS exchange push mail as well as remove the calender (no matter what if you turn to fetch or manually for some reason exchange calender always push new meeting or appointment notification) so i have disable the calender from the mail settings., apple diagnostics automated turn off, as well as disable the Raise to Speak option>>> This is a convenient feature that invokes Siri whenever you lift the phone to your face, but I’ve seen reports that this can cause an undue battery drain. With this option off, all you have to do to awaken Siri is press and hold the Home button.

I have few other tweaks installed via Cydia like Siri Hand free control (currently disabled for testing purpose) as well as Siritoggles etc ...

HandsfreeControl>> have performed numerous tests to make Hands-Free Control™ as lightweight as possible. Continually listening as a background service it consumes less than 1% processor use. Upon keyword recognition it jumps up to 15-25% for about a second. Compare this to turning on and unlocking your iPhone, which consumes about 25-35% processor use for about two seconds and it is actually more battery efficient to use Hands-Free Control™ to make a phone call than trying to do it manually.

I'm 100% agree and have tested regarding unlocking iphone consumes 25-35% processor use for about 2 to 3 sec.

Push notifications alert you of new data in apps, but disabling this feature conserves the juice. disable push notification like facebook etc

I m thinking about removing icloud account so just see what difference does it really makes i know most of the settings are turn off in icloud but there are few core settings which always using pwoer and sending data to icloud... but will test that on my 2nd test.

I know If you were to disable every option listed above you’d have an awfully dull device.. but its an smartphone and turn off all the above options for this testing and will turn on and post another test ...

Will report results soon.

ocked itself)

Quick question:
on mine BatteryDetective shows its charged 94% but status bar iPhone shows 100%

and on yours
Battery Detective is reporting -235mA Drain and 90.42% Battery Charge (As opposed to the display on the status bar of 97%) and ensured to kill app running apps

whats that all about..? BatteryDetective pulling informaton correctly or iPhone usage % notification? bit confused really:confused:

I would venture to say that BatteryDetective is more correct than the stock Apple notification. We all know Apple likes to embelish things (recall changing the size of the signal bars for no reason to shut people up about the "death grip") and the Cydia Tweak is pulling active mA from the battery, displaying current draw and more that the stock notification probably doesn't account for.

As of 10PM I am currently at 84% - This is with one or two iMessages coming in, one phone call under a minute and a few emails coming in. I doubt this tweak actually does anything - 16% in 7 hours? That's just around 2% an hour with hardly touching the phone where-as my iPhone 4 hasn't been charged since Friday and is still at 50% even after using the Flashlight app for 20 minutes the other day and some web browsing.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Make a new phone with a new Camera, Siri and the A5 and the battery wasn't even touched. The Camera or Siri cant be affecting battery life, neither are running on my phone. I can only blame it on the A5 or some other hardware because the i4 running 5.0.1 has excellent battery life.

People post your results on here when you have findings. I'm going to try the Medium one tomorrow and see how it works out. I have applied the Medium file already......and will test tomorrow.

Apple's is the correct reading. BatteryDetective takes the current charge over the design charge. Apple's takes the currect over the maximum current. Because the iPhone's battery's charge levels fluctuate, the maximum charge capacity can vary during the decice's usable life. BatteryDetective always takes the design capacity, 1430 in the 4S.

I tried ultra and was getting much better use out of my phone today.. I came home with 56% left as opposed to my usual 20-30%.. and I didn't do anything differently. I was going to actually clock it but my phone resprung due to BiteSMS messing up and so I lost my times :/ will try again tomorrow.

I m back with my default profile and i charged my 4s @ 2:00AM last night and in the morning it was 98% 9:00AM using default profile.

I think best bit is to follow the the above to make the most from the 4s battery.

if anyone else get different results please share ...

I will keep testing and update as it goes...

After reading this thread and the other thread on the 4s battery fix put out by Insanelyi repo it looks as though the app put out by insanelyi does the exact same thing as what this thread describes. Unfortunately a bunch of developers looked into the editing of this plist and stated it does absolutely nothing. Here is the article http://www.bingner.com/batteryfix.html.

Im just letting you guys know. I mean hell if you feel like your getting better battery by all means use it.

might as well turn off the phone.... lol joke!

I don't know why people is having so much problem with their battery, I use my phone all day everything is ON plus 30-2hr of phone calls a day and I have enough to make it back home after 11hrs.

I did try the moderate setting and I see no different at all... One thing I do is not let to every app access my location and push notification, only the apps I use the most, other than that everything is on all the time.

Um yeah... As the other users just said you might as well turn off your phone or not have one at all. Just carry a charger with you and charge it while you're at work or something, whats the big deal?

agreed!

Can somebody check something for me? I installed the other battery fix which was said not to work so i erased it. I also found out that tweak did basicallyy the same thing as this one. So I SSH into the folder with the original plist and i was going to compare it to the stock one from here. Hoping they would be the same. But when I open the one on my phone i can't really see any numbers and it doesn't look the same. Can someone check if its the same for them? Im wondering if I should restore or not?
