battery for ibook goes fomr 80% to 0% in 3 minutes

hi,

just like the title says, my ibook is dropping from 80% battery to 0% battery almost instantly.

the charger is usually on all day every day.

any tips??

At this point it seems a little silly, but have you tried calibrating the battery?

Also you can download a widget like miniStat2 which will tell you the health/life of your battery (might be helpful).

I have a slim hope for this.

I'd still just get a new battery.

I'd give OWC a look for a new battery.
