Apple won’t suggest that you replace it until it’s below 80%. The percentage is a little lower than my normal use iPhone X at 93%.

The phone is a tool. Use it how you want to use it.

What good is a pristine battery if you don't get to use it the way you want?

I’m at 91%.... why would you ever replace a battery that’s still really high. 87% for almost a year is really good.

I got mine at Xmas and its at 92%. At the end of the year I might take advantage of the $40 battery replacements.

I thought it was $29 and I thought I read something on them canceling that deal.

It's $29 until the end of this year.

Then it goes up to $49, $69, or $79 depending on your phone. iPhone X will be $69.

It's $29 in the US and A$39 in AU.

    $29 = 40.94 Australian Dollars.

You obviously didn't specify Australian Dollars in your post which is why the person I replied to was obviously confused.

i guess you can go for the replacement now since they have a heavily reduced pricetag. 39$ is not a lot to be honest. 119$ however is.

Fair enough - but you can see I'm Aussie from my profile location so I'm not going to pay for something in American dollars am I? :p

My iPhone X also had battery health of 87%. Took into the Apple store yesterday and they replaced it for free under warranty. Maybe give it a go and see what they say.

Ya no you didn’t say AUS. I didn’t think you could get it replaced while it’s still
    In the green.

    --- Post Merged, Oct 31, 2018 ---
Wasn’t it still in the green, why would they replace a perfectly working battery?

At this point I’m just going to see if I can get it below 80% by the end of May. If not I’ll just lease a new phone anyways

Yeah he mentioned that the battery is still within it’s normal working range but they still replaced it for free. Here’s a copy of the receipt...
