I already shared my experience a few weeks ago. On my iPhone 14 Pro Max something similar happened. The battery went down to 83% really fast (faster than ANY iPhone previously owned, and they are many), then stabilized at 83% for over 6 months, which is technically impossible.
I checked it with the shortcut battery stats and it gave me a residual health of 78% compared to new, even if Settings was showing 83.
I took it to Apple and they told me they would not replace the battery because 83% was accurate. Since I still was under AppleCare+ for one month, I strongly suspect the algorithm is somewhat “influenced “ 😏
I ended up giving the phone as a trade in for a new iPhone 16 Pro Max…
