So, my coconut battery stats look pretty good, anyone else have anything different? This is for my iphone 12 pro.

My 12 Pro is 100% too but let's see how it goes after a year of use ?

My 11 was at 99% when I sold her 14 months of use...

My 11 Pro ended up on 88% when I sold it after 12 months. It has AppleCare for another year so the buyer can take advantage of that if it deteriorates anymore.

How is 12 Pro battery health doing with your phones?
Mine came with around 2900mAh full charge capacity but now after 4h charge seems to be down to around 2866mAh (and it does dip down when using camera or other power consuming tasks and monitoring it wirelessly with iMazing).
I mean that drop is not much but already so soon...? Usually has took pretty long until any drop with my previous iPhones. I'm really babying battery, so it is not my usage or charging habits (only using 5W charger with cable, no wireless charging).

Batteries are meant to wear out - that's why it's called "CONSUMABLES".
My 12 Pro is normal now losing about 2% after 2 months of use. 1% per month is normal for batteries, but some iPhones did a lot better.

OTOH my MBP 16" after a year is down 20% of capacity and it still holds a decent charge.

I won't complain until it gets bad and since AppleCare is protecting the purchase, I'll rest easy until then...

Yeah, I know but are they suppose to consume so fast?
Does your battery FCC drop while using camera or does battery go down fast?
Mine drop nearly 10% using camera for 15 minutes or so.

Yeah my MacBook Pro 16" is down 10% already after 5 months, and only 42 cycles. iPhone 12 Pro Max (launch day) still at 100%.

Anyone else seeing 12 Pro battery health dropping fast?
Mine now just after 5 charge cycles down to 2840-2850mAh. Started from around 2900mAh.
Another phone from the same batch (ordered 2 at the same time for another family member) staying steadily 2900mAh...

What does your iOS say? 100%? I always charge mine with 15W Magsafe puck charging ever since launch day and still says 100% health so it's been 1 month and 2 weeks of pure magsafe charging

I thought Coconut battery app and other 3rd party battery app do NOT work correctly on newer iOS versions?

Only the battery section in SETTINGS is accurate i think.

I don't trust that "sugarcoated" reading at all.

What does CoconutBattery or some other software that can show actual reading say?

We have 2 same model 12 Pro's here and other is steadily around 2900mAh but one with worse battery has been going down fast and is only around 2840mAh while resting (in actual use like when using camera it takes serious dips down from 2840mAh).

Just try yours and see what it does in similar test. It either stays strong or if weak takes there dips when using it.

I don't have a Mac so CoconutBattery is not available. Can't help you with obsessing down to 10 mAh when iOS notes 100% on your phone. AFAIK, it might be a battery lottery where yours has less efficient cells than your other 12 pros. I'd start using Apple care if the full charge capacity dips below design capacity (that's less than 100% that is noted on iOS). Well, if your using the phone while charging on your mac, there might be throttling on the charging to maybe less than 5W as to not cause the overall temperature to rise dramatically. I'd just Apple care that phone straight away if the battery drain while in use is much worse compared to your other 12 pro. Otherwise, if you can get 10-15h SOT on a full charge with your 12 pro, it's performing like it should and full charge capacity is not an issue since even that value is just an estimation

iMazing is available for Windows and even free version gives access to battery data and it allows to monitor it wireless once the phone is linked to it by cable.

Anyway, likely just my usual bad luck that I got dud battery but it would be great if other new iPhone 12 Pro owners could check their phones and see what is actual battery health. I bet most are around 104% after first few weeks of use.

How does your battery usage looks? Mine looks normal with 10 hours of Messenger Video calls (yes 10 hour use of the camera) and only used around 70% battery cycle. iOS still reports 100% health as well with pure magsafe charging (magsafe 15W fast charging should not degrade a battery worse than fast charging 20W wired). Like I mentioned that if you don’t get at least 12 hour screen on time use per one battery cycle, you might have a dud battery from the get go.

How do people keep their screen on for at least 12 hours a day lol? That’s crazy to think about!

I've been wondering the same and that they can get incredible hours out of it with little battery use.
I think that graph is somehow working strange way. I have got like little over 4 hours around under 50% battery use looking at the same graph. Then I got like 3 hours SOT total in about 48 hours time frame when battery went from 100% to 49% during that. I'm not heavy user and mostly it is just in standby.

Trying to compare my battery stats from my old iPhone 8 Plus to see if I should change anything about how I charge my new iPhone 12 Pro Max. For 6 months, it was 100% health and then it took another 9 months for the battery health to drop to 90%. Does that seem about right for normal battery degrading?

Time it was 100% sounds about right but latter is pretty fast if you were using care with charging it (not run it empty or use wireless charging). For example my X was 95% after 2 years of use.
I don't think my 12 Pro is anything like that. At this rate it goes to 99% in next few days. Usually that first drop should take like 6 months or so, as with my previous phones.
