How do people keep their screen on for at least 12 hours a day lol? That’s crazy to think about!

Covid and constant video communication with loved ones makes this possible BTW. I don’t think I can put up over 10 hours of screen on time with just web browsing, forums, news and social media only. Anyways, if there’s a lot of battery drain while using the 12 pro and you’re doing anything intensive, then it’s most likely just bad battery lottery. IMO a 95% or higher after 2 years of use is a normal battery degradation. If you’re less than that in under a year, it’s time to claim the Apple care warranty

I agree.

Sure you can make claims but their terms say 80% battery health as limit, so it does not matter if owner think it is worse than normal if it is above 80%. Also they go by their own tests which often show higher percentage than apps we use, so to count that make it even worse. Just saying, but what you gonna do, they make the terms for warranty. :(

So, my coconut battery stats look pretty good, anyone else have anything different? This is for my iphone 12 pro.

My 12 Pro is 100% too but let's see how it goes after a year of use ?

My 11 was at 99% when I sold her 14 months of use...

My 12 Pro has 5 charge cycles but Full Charge Capacity has already dropped to 2836mAh (it was about 2900mAh under 2 weeks ago when I got it). Only charging it with 5W charger and lightning cable and I have been babying this battery, so probably in rougher use it would be even worse. Anyway at my current rate is will be drop 1946mAh from the new, so about 950mAh FCC left after one year. I know it may not be so, but does not look good so far.

Our other 12 Pro started from 2900mAh and is 2902mAh FCC today after 5 charge cycles.

Anyone else got crappy battery with their 12 Pro that dropped so fast??

Honestly i would'nt worry too much. Battery degradation is normal and just like 0906742 said, if you try to no use as much wireless charging and depleting the battery completely, you should be fine.

But please if other 12 Pro owners could check theirs and report here would be nice?

As I said we have two 12 Pro and other is still 2902mAh but other 2836mAh both only 5 charge cycles. Something seriously wrong with other obviously. Both manufactured same day and have same battery inside (I checked serials to make sure).

Dud battery. My launch day 12 PM still has 103% health with 33 charge cycles per iMazing. iOS still reports 100% health BTW

This is with 100% pure Magsafe charging since launch day. I don't think Magsafe wears the battery down significantly compared to 5W charging wired

It is starting to seem like mine is dud then because no one else here is seeing them drop. All so far reported here are like your around 103.5% or so.

It would be interesting to see other 12 Pro owners results what theirs show for actual health?
I don't think it should drop in few days from 2900 to 2830-2840 where mine hardly is, seem to drop even lower when I use it but that is resting figure checked by iMazing. Our another 12 Pro steadily sit about 2900mAh after as much use...
Looks like my usual luck, I already lost in display lottery and now seems the same happened with the battery lottery too. :(

My 12PM shows around 3780 as max charge and 35 cycles in coconut battery, that seems on par with what ppl are reporting here.

No one with 12 Pro (6.1") see noticeable full charge capacity drop in first week or two (in Coconutbattery or iMazing detailed info)?

My 6.1" 12 Pro seems to be dropping few mAh every day and every charge even I've been babying the battery. Currently battery health is around 101% per Coconutbattery but it drops well under 100% even when using camera.

Other family member has 6.1" 12 Pro and battery is as strong or even a bit higher than new after same time even battery is drained fully sometimes. Currently this is running 103.6% health per Coconutbattery.

Anyone else got dud battery in new 12 6.1" Pro?
