Does iPhone battery health degrade quicker using wireless charging? I’m 11 months in with my 8+ and my battery health is at 91%. I’ve always used wireless charging.

im at the same with my X. I use mostly wireless for sleeping anyway. always plugged into my car. Fast charging here and there too.

I have had my X since launch and have charged it almost exclusively on wireless. My battery health is 99%. I don't think wireless charging is as important as usage habits (heavy usage, how low battery gets before recharging, etc) when it comes to battery life.

I've used Wireless charging a bit with my 8+. It is showing no abnormal or noticeable drop in battery life because of wireless charging. If anything, it charges slower (because I have 5w wireless chargers, no 7.5w) and helps. I have a wireless stand at home and work. While I drive, its plugged into Carplay via my Honda so my phone spends most of its life 90-100% - health is >100% (over design capacity) after a year of ownership and 172 cycles.

It would seem like yours degraded pretty fast. My iPhone 7 Plus is 2 years old and I have bad charging habits (leaving on charger all day at work, leaving on charger all night, etc). It's currently at 91% battery capacity.

98% here with a launch X that sees heavy usage, nightly wireless charging(past 6mo), and x2 daily wired charging connected to my truck's USB.

Wow that’s really good. I charge my 8+ nightly and it’s usually around the 50% mark. I think I just have a dodgy battery.

Looks like I have a bad battery. Do you think Apple would change it under warranty, or should I just wait until it degrades more and pay for a replacement?

iPhone 8 here. I have used it for 8 months (new phone) and battery health is 97%. It was 99% for the longest and now for some odd reason has decreased by 2%.

Launch day iPhone X here, shows 93% health. I use the mophie wireless charger at home, and plug into a USB port for CarPlay when driving.

Launch day 6+.

I got my X in late November and primarily use wireless charging at night and a 10W wired charger if I need to charge it mid-day. Health is at 91% with 269 cycles. Since I plan to skip the XS I will probably get the battery replaced before the price goes back up. I don’t want to be stuck with 80% or less by the time the 2019 phones come out.
