Are you using AlDente or some other battery app? The icon means you MacBook Air is plugged in and the battery isn't charging at the moment.

Mine often not charging when battery is on 80-90%. You can turn off this feature in Settings > Battery > Battery Health and turn off Manage battery longevity.
