Anyone with experience of both models and possibly iPhone 7 too. I'm talking regular, not Plus models

How much longer does iPhone 8 battery last in comparison with iPhone 6? Varied use (phone calls + safari + youtube)

The iPhone 8 will be more efficient and will have a newer battery, so the difference between that and previous models will be noticeable.

Battery life on the iPhone 7 since iOS 13 has been horrible in my experience. My parents have my older iPhone 7 phones and it's shockingly bad.

Yes the iPhone 8 will overall be better but if you can swing it, it may be worth the extra $150 to snag an iPhone Xr. Here is an image of battery tests I got from Phone Arena and you can use the link below to compare other models.

Have to agree with the above, yes the 8 will have a noticeable difference in battery life over the 6 and even the 7 series phones. Like @BuggyGT stated, for a small difference in price, you could go with the XR and have fantastic battery life. If that's your number one goal.

you have to factor in that we're on iOS 13 now and not iOS 11 which came with the 8 series. Youre going to take a hit no matter what.

Yeah, our two 6s’es are much worse under iOS 13 than they were under 12. Even after replacing the batteries in both (at the Apple store). Wife got so frustrated she bought a new 11Pro.

Definitely get an XR or 11 or perhaps even the new 9 coming out next month.

I'll be on the lookout for iPhone 9/SE2, it is said to be thicker than 8 which means bigger battery I guess.

Not a fan of the big full-screen+notch design and I'd like to have another iPhone with a home button

I'm just concerned about battery life since I wasn't satisfied at all with my 6 which was terrible in that department.
