Is there a noticeable difference in the battery life between the 13" touchbar and non touch bar versions of the macbook pro? I have the non touchbar 13" and find the 2 USB-C ports too limiting.

For most people the non-touch-bar version gets significantly better battery life. Notebook Check measures about a 30% difference.

What's causing trouble with only two ports? A dock might fix it.

I can't find a doc that runs 2 displays 4k at 60 hz, charges the mac, and has two-three USB ports.

Yeah, I think the best you can do right now for that would be two docks, one that has power pass-through, and one that has extra USB ports. You could probably make it work, but if you aren't too worried about the difference in battery life, the version with four ports might be easier.

I am in the same situation and solved it by using an Anker USB-C hub with power delivery pass through and a Startech Thunderbolt 3 to Dualdisplayport adapter.

In theory a Thunderbolt 3 docking station would also be a solution, but there is none available at the moment, which satifsfies all my needs.
