Battery in MacBook Pro

I have heard with certain batteries that the first time you use them they should be fully charged, and then run them until they're completely dry a few times. Just wondering if anyone suggests this and if this is not done, will a battery in a macbook pro not hold a charge as long?

Thats always good to do , so the battery can go thru a full ceycle , from fully dead to fully charge

Yes, it's recommended. First charge is recommended to be overnight/over 10 hours.

You should do it atleast 1 a month , With everything i got i like to do it atleast one a week , Its very good for the battery,
