Battery Indicater Light on MBP

My favorite part about the new mbp is the battery indicater lights, they look awesome 😀

is there any hack or any software that can keep them on all the time whenever your laptop is open?

If there was that would decrease the life of the led lights used to display the battery life, but then agian the screen is led back lit.
