My Macbook Pro 15" is under warranty for another month. The battery condition is "poor" according to the sys profile. Would apple care replace the battery if I call? How should I go about this?

Also, How do I know WHICH replacement to buy for a 15" Penryn Core 2 duo MBPRO geforce 256MB if apple care wont do it? I see one on amazon for 119 looks like the only one they offer.

Thanks

If its under AppleCare and you go to a store... they may or may not replace it. If they follow the letter of the warranty... it is one year and 300 cycles for removable batteries. I usually just did it when it was still under warranty. Its worth it to make an appt at a Genius Bar and ask... If you are buying a new one, only get the real mccoy... the off brand batteries are really bad at best.
