has anyone else noticed this?

Yesterday my battery was at 41% on the Plus by 4pm.. this phone has never reached 50% at that time unless I was on it the whole time.

My phone right now is at 81% and it’s been used for only 20 min.

My phone usually at this time is at 95-96%.

6S (Samsung:(), full battery was basically drained in 9-10 hours with very light usage.

Before unplugging the charger, the phone had about 8 hours for indexing and other stuff.

Now back to IOS10, the phone is usable again.

I'm seeing about an 8-10% drain per hour, when the phone is just idling beside me on my desk. Definitely worse battery life than when I was on iOS 10 but hopefully something that's fixed on an update.

This has made me halt updating my other ios devices. Only updated my ipad mini 4 and battery has taken a massive hit. No only during usage, but unfortunately while in standby with all wireless off.

So my iphone, ipad pro, ipod touch wont be going anywhere near ios11 until its better.

My battery was almost depleted yesterday, something that never happened before, and I didn't even use to watch videos that much. I'll keep monitoring to see if it's iOS 11 doing this.

My device: iPAD Pro 9.7 128 GB wifi only.

Major battery drain issues here. I’m on a 6 and went from 100% to 84% in less than 15 minutes this morning. Three hours ago it fell to 10% and I barely used the thing!

Well, I suppose I’m off to the Apple store tomorrow to upgrade to a 7 and hope it still has iOS 10. Won’t be upgrading to the 8 now that iOS 11 seems to kill batteries.

yes a packaged 7 will still be 10.2

Give it time. All of the indexed data you had prior to the update will need to be indexed again. It tries to balance the speed of the process with battery use but it will be noticeable. In a couple of days, maybe less, see if the issue is still an issue. It should have done everything by then.

[doublepost=1505942593][/doublepost]Holy crap yes! I have an iPhone 6 and everything was just fine, then updated and now it’s draining so fast it’s almost comical. I contacted support and they said it was my battery, but I can’t believe that. It was fine yesterday! SMH

I’m getting slightly worse battery life too on my iPhone 6s.

Posters on other forums suggest this is normal for the first day or two, as iOS is indexing. Any truth in this?

Other than that, it’s beautifully smooth and quick.

Took my phone off the charger at 12am on 100% and at 8am it was at 93%. This is the first time it happened to me so I believe it is the update

I had a problem with my battery on my SE. 100% at 6:00 and down to 63% by 14:30 no calls made only mail and exploring settings and some other minor things.

I did notice that 43% of battery usage was attributed to Mail but I didn't get a lot of mail. I also had switched most of the obvious items off.

Back on 10.3.3 for now and all back to normal.

Had horrendous battery the first 12 hours yesterday (on a 6). After a full night's charge I guess the indexing was done and seems more normal.

One thing that's weird - before OS11 BatteryHealth was "Fair". Now it's "Poor".

Do you use battery life indicator app(s)?

7 plus here and same thing with battery draining fast. Also I can’t find the setting to turn off email fetching. I’m sure that it can’t help when it’s constantly downloading new emails even when locked.

No change in battery usage on 6S. But I also have most everything turned off. No email. no Facebook, no waze, etc etc.

Crazy drain here with 6s I have most background refresh stuff off. I’m hoping this will last me through the work day tomorrow, and then it’s history!

iPhone 6s running iOS11. Battery is fine for me however looks like I’ll need to do a restore because I can’t download the TV app here in Canada. Has a “Thus app requires..” and can’t download. Not to mentioned n my states per app won’t come up, but battery life is good. This is also with an Apple Watch connected via Bluetooth.

Wow - you do that without checking the battery usage to even see what is causing it???
