Ugh. Never thought I'd say this, but, I am currently doing a complete restore, and will not be restoring from my backup. I have heard that it can really help battery life.
This hole issue started on my previous iPhone, a 4s, which was also restored from a backup. My first iPhone, a 4, had fine battery as far as i can remember; I don't ever remember it being bad or complain about it. So, i think my backup was bad. Well, now I'll start fresh. Anyone else had to go this far to help battery issues? Or is it maybe an 8.1.2 bug?

Personally I've always used my back ups and have had no noticeable battery issues.

Using iPhone 6 plus on iOS 8.1.2

Im the same on iPad mini, but I think it was just something in my old 4 backup, that messed things up. Will see.

It's better to avoid old backups from previous iOS and device versions.
Bugs can be passed down if previous backups have issues.

So far I'm at 90% with 52 minutes of usage!!!!! :D Couldn't be happier about this!
Plus a lot of this battery has ben used downloading my photo and videos from iCloud PL. So, the restore worked!
