Battery life and heating up iphone6

I just took iphone6 and as happy as I was to use the product, am equally sad with its performance and battery life. The battery life is very less and the main thing I am concerned is phone heats up pretty quickly. Is it happening for anybody else? Does apple give exchange for the device?

When you got it, did you restore a backup from iTunes?

If so, you likely have encountered the same issue I did (with the same symptoms). Simply backup and restore from iCloud and that should fix you up.

Here are my battery stats:

Standby: 1 day, 7 hours
Usage: 5 hours 7 minutes

I have 18% left of battery

About the heat issue my iphone 5S with ios 8 was a lot hotter than the iphone 6. I don't have any heat issues at all.

The iphone 6 battery last a lot longer than my iphone 5S or iphone 4S. I say I have 100% more battery than before

Check your usage battery stats and see what is using a lot of battery %

24% battery remaining. I've been more than impressed with the battery life so far - no location/notifications turned off etc.
