Hi - curious what people think on how long I could use an iPad 9.7" pro as a PDF reader outside on one charge, no WiFi?

I'm going to be camping a few days and want to read in the mornings. Trying to calculate how many books I will have to bring in addition to the iPad.

I don't need a high brightness.

Thanks

It will last for atleast three days for sure if you are gonna use it in the mornings without wifi. I have ipad pro 9.7 too. I mostly use it on wifi but i have used it as a reader as well. Battery life is very good. My personal thought is you can take 3 books along with you.

Thanks. I'm hoping to get 10 hours.

I just did a test where I left the screen on a PDF, low-medium brightness, no WiFi, swiped every now and then and used 7% in one hour. So maybe I'll get 14 hours. Not sure how CPU intensive the scrolling through pages is - should be the only difference vs my test.

It is good you tested it. Let me know how long it lasts in the camp. Have a good camping and reading!

Without intensive use (Heavy apps/games, High brightness), my Pro 9.7 has easily reached 14 hours. As a PDF reader, on 20-30% brightness? I think you will reach 14 hours without much trouble. Higher brightness I don't think so, but I don't know. I use my iPad indoors only.
