I've had a 2012 15" rMBP (2.3GHz/16GB) for about two years now and I'm happy with almost everything about it except for what I consider a poor battery life. My battery status shows 437 cycles with 91% health and it lasts about 3 hours or less with using the HD4000 graphics card at about 65~70% brightness. I don't watch movies or doing anything heavy but web browsing and Excel work mostly. Is this normal?

I use it as my main work/home computer and have it connected to a power and external display at work and use it at home with a battery mostly for 1~2 hours and sometimes I had to go to my workplace to grab a adapter because the battery ran out quicker than normal while doing some important things. I

Is there a way to get a little longer battery life? I usually have Bluetooth turned off at home. Reducing screen brightness to less than 60-65% is little uncomfortable for me... I don't know how the current 15" could last up to 8 hours!

Well, you have to factor in the retina screen takes a lot to power it

It's the high brightness that's using the battery.

I just tried 65%, it's hurting my eyes! Going back to 4 blobs...
