Is it normal that the battery life goes down 1% each day?

    by itself without use?

no. Try calibrating if you have not done already, or take it back the Apple Store.

Exactly what i was thinking! When mine sleeps it uses battery life and i notice that if it sleeps for about 4-5 days i run out of juice. (let me know if this isn't normal)
