iPad Pro Battery Life - iPad Pro 9.7

How is your battery life?

Just notice today that I was charged at 100% at 6 AM. Was just on standby as I didn't use it all day. At 2 PM it was down to 87%. Is this normal? I'm still on iOS 9.3.1.

Do you folks charge you iPad every night regardless of battery level?

I would say no. I unplugged mine at about 8am, at 2pm used it for about an hour and I'm at 99% its now 7pm

I dont charge mine every night. Just depends on the battery level when I'm going to bed or if I'm going to use it in bed.

Maybe I should have the Apple Store check the battery. Seems odd. Have most location services turned off so not sure what could be draining the battery while on standby.

Seems to have been lasting quite well. Just started noticing more battery usage yesterday and now today as mentioned above.

How exactly could it be a "random" thing?

Could be a few things. Post a screenshot of your battery usage in settings and we might be able to offer some advice

As far as random, Rogue apps or the like. Do you restart the iPad regularly?
Also batteries are weird creatures they fluctuate and somedays are better than others. take it down a couple times to say 50% or 60% and then charge up and see.
LiIon batteries like shallow charges but they also like to be used to keep the electrons moving.

I regularly with my medium usage to medium heavy get 1 hour per 10% and that's the stated 10 hour battery life.

But I know Lithium Ion chemistry and I don't let it drop past 20%. So even 8 hours with room to spare.

I never ran lower than 30% on my iPad Air 2 with heavy usage at bedtime. I was down to 8% at around 5 pm yesterday after heavy usage. I think the iPad Pro 9.7 battery is simply okay.
