cheersI easily get 8 hours with mine, running illustrator, atom/brackets, chrome, safari, and transmit. Granted all of those are not in use the entire time. My screen brightness is wherever the battery meter puts it so that its not using "significant battery". If you'd like more concrete numbers, I can do so this weekend. But I'm going to say 8-10. Maybe a bit more. I've never had a day where it dropped below 30%.
Battery life on MBP'16 15" is on par or slightly worse than '15. Considering 25% battery volume cut this is likely achieved by more aggressive standby of CPU, iGPU, dGPU which sometimes leads to initial lags after short standby (like a minute) which did not happen on my previous late 2013 and mid 2015 (even though my '16 is a top BTO model while '15 was a middle BTO).Hows your battery life on the 15 inch version ? thinking of getting one and just wanted to see the difference battery life wise compared to my 2015 MacBook pro.
Also it's amazingly better than Mac'2006. What an achievement.Battery life on my 15" is crazily good. I don't know why so many people were whining about it. It's certainly much better than my old 2012 MBPr 15" in every possible way.
Quiter, lasts longer, runs cooler. Great piece of tech, though pricey.

Please post their results here. Why are you so against it? Will posting them on MacRumors make them disappear from the internet?Any person with a real interest in the facts about battery life can check the tests of the 2015 and 2016 15" models done by Ars Technica and Notebook Check.
