I just got the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the battery on that thing is amazing. My girlfriend wants to get the 11 pro, and considering that she would be upgrading from an iphone 8, I'm guessing the battery life difference should be huge. However, she is also considering the 11, but doesn't really like it, due to it being somewhat bigger.

How good is the battery life on the 11 Pro in daily use? Can anyone with personal experience chime in? The battery life on my XS (regular, not the max version) was pretty underwhelming. I'm guessing it's a lot better than the XS in everyday use, since it has a considerably bigger battery?

It’s so good. I charged my 11 Pro Max to 100% at 4:15, have been using it for the last 2 hours nearly and it’s only gone down to 88%.

If you check tom’s hardware, anandtech, trusted reviews, and some other reviews, the 11 outlasts the 11 pro on most battery tests apart from ones that involves video playback (oled tech saves on dark scenes).

Must be the lower resolution screen that helps.

Apple claims the battery life of the Pro to be 4 hours longer than the XS, of course individual usage varies. If you look through the forums, you'll see people seem to be happy with the battery life of the 11 Pro.

After 4 hours and 20 mins my Pro Max has gone down from 100% to 78%.

used heavily until about 7, used lightly since after 7.

I’m not impressed with the battery on the 11 Pro. I had a X prior. I still need to charge the 11 Pro twice a day, just like the X.

Get the iPhone 11 Pro Max if you want big battery life.

Even the regular iPhone 11 has better battery life than the iPhone 11 Pro.

Yeah, I guess. But Apple did say that the 11 Pro lasted 4 hours longer than the XS. I had an X previously, so I expected more.

I upgraded from an 8 to an 11 Pro. Battery life I would say is 2x better. On average now I’m only charging my 11 Pro every 2 days. Normally with my 8 I was charging it every day, maybe with top ups. The 8 was older of course also with battery performance at 90% so that needs to be taken into consideration. But basically it’s much much better.

my 11 pro max battery life is insane...last two days I've gone to bed with it on 50% left. my wife's iPhone 11 is giving her two day battery life as well.

People waxing lyrical about their pro max battery life being amazing, I wonder if they read this guy’s post or were just indulging themselves in a bit of ego tripping.

He HAS a pro max. He knows it has good battery life. He wants to know about the pro.

The 5.8” Pro has excellent battery life as well, slightly better than the 11.

I moved to the Pro from an XR that had great battery life, and it’s better again.

I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a phone smaller than the 11 and Pro Max models. For me it’s the perfect size, perfect spec etc.

Usage will determine real world battery life for your girlfriend, and remember if you buy it from Apple you have 14 days to return or exchange it if the battery life isn’t up to expectations.

It’s not as good as the Pro Max, but it is worlds better than the iPhone XS, the iPhone X, and the iPhone 8.

I don’t think that there are many (any) legitimate complaints about the current generation iPhones that can be made in regard to battery life.

I got the Pro Max as of yesterday due to an insane offering by my contract provider (effectively cheaper monthly rates with more bang for your buck & the phone) and the battery is insane.
Only issue I have is that the battery drained over night due to MS/Outlook blocking mail sync to native iOS to force you to use their Outlook app, I assume the mail app tried to sync 24/7 but MS wouldn't bite until this morning when they finally freed my mails up.

That and the fact that my old 5W charger I still have next to my bed is charging my phone for 2h already and it's still nowhere near 100%.

Usually their claim of “4 hours longer” is not screen on time, but a variable of usage situations. I could be wrong, but that’s my understanding. As for you, you would be the ideal Apple smart battery case user.

I just got back from a 2 week vacation. Heavy google maps and camera pictures, videos, and web surfing. My 11 pro lasted all day every day. I brought a battery pack with me and never used it.

It’s funny how when the 7+ came out people talked about how insane the battery life was and the fact Apple didn’t make a smart battery case for the plus because no one “needed” it. Now people are upgrading to phones that make the plus models seem downright lackluster.

I’d still love a battery case, a wallet one would be awesome.

*sees price of regular Apple folio case*

ok never-mind....

Can the 11 Pro do 6+ hrs of non stop PubG at high brightness and full in built speaker volume? How long would it survive under those conditions if more/less than 6 hrs?

Never played that game so I don’t have a clue. I’m sure someone on YouTube who streams it could answer.

With Safari 50% brightness and active Safari use, how much battery does 60 minutes consume? How much battery did your X/XS consume every 60 minutes?
