Hi,

The first gen remote had an awesome battery life, while the second gen remote had some issues and didn’t work as long as one would hope. How is the battery life on the latest Apple TV remote?

I’m guessing I go 2 or 3 months between charges. However, you need to check the battery level to make sure it doesn’t fall to 15% are the remote starts acting up. I accidentally let it get that low once. A quick charge corrected the issues. Apple should use a notification to warn us if it gets too low, but I never saw one. Since it takes several clicks to find the battery level, it is easy to let it get low. Maybe they should put a battery level indicator on the interface, but I guess that would make too much sense for them…

I believe there’s a notification for below 20% and 10%, popped up everytime the remote is connected. To the Apple TV. Maybe a bug in the new remote, because it works perfect in the first gen one

I didn’t see a warning, so perhaps it is a bug. Typically I check the charge level every few weeks then charge if its below 50%, but I managed to let it go far lower that one time.
