Battery life question on the Magic Trackpad 2 Bluteooth 2.1+EDR vs 4.0?

Would anyone happen to know what the difference in bettery life is for the magic trackpad using bluetooth 2.1+EDR as opposed to the stated battery life by Apple on bluetooth 4.0?
I think quite a few people would be interested in this information.

I'm not sure what you're asking. It requires a Mac with Bluetooth 4.0 or later to work though you can connect it via the USB cable and it should work that way with an older Mac.

There are several people in this thread reporting it works fine on older BT 2.1 Macs.

That's exactly what I am asking. What the battery life hit is for the older Macs who use the Magic trackpad 2 with Bluetooth 2.1
