Hey Team,

I tried searching but I couldn't find anything worthwhile.

Does anyone know the battery life differences between the Series 2 42MM and Series 3 42MM non-LTE ?

I sold my S1 watch because I would barely get a full day out of it without turning off HRS and most notifications.

I'm curious to know this as the LTE watch is not available where I live and I'd like to upgrade to a SS S2, from my SS S0.
It would seem a decent compromise if the battery life is comparable.

Real world use of my non-LTE Apple Watch Series 3 surprised me. At the end of Saturday I didn't bother charging it, because it was still on 75%. This was after a 15 hour day.

I took it off charge at 10am Saturday morning, and it's on 31% now, at 10.30pm on Sunday.

I thought battery life might be constrained as the Watch was totally new for me, and I'd be playing with it far more in the first week or so, testing out which functions were better on the Watch vs my iPhone, etc. But I ended every single day at more than 60% battery life.

I think because Apple tried to get a cellular Apple Watch to match the Series 2 in terms of battery life, you'll be very happy with a Series 3 Wifi only model.

There definitely is a difference in the battery life from the first generation Apple Watch compared to the Series 2. It actually has a thicker battery, which is Noteable battery life and is substantial for longevity.

I can't say I've noticed a difference between S2 and S3 42mm. Had the S3 for just over a week now. However I must say I don't really push it to the limit, it goes on a charging stand every night but usually has around 50 - 60% left.

What's the difference in battery life between Series 1 (not 1st generation) and Series 3 with GPS? Are they similar?

Apple has all their generation Apple Watches rated at 18 hours. That's likely being very conservative, considering the Series 3 battery life is substantially stronger than the Series 1, given the LTE and GPS requirements.
