Getting annoyed with this, Battery life was rubbish on iOS 5.0.1 so I set up as new phone, no difference, turned of iCloud, no difference, and today I went to the hassle of installing a brand new battery thinking it was a battery problem but again no difference, Took the phone of the charger 30 mins ago, checked twitter and emails and the phone is already down 10% from 2 mins of use and just sitting idle. Any ideas?

People are doing all kinds of tweaks such as turning the system services off in location services, along with the known settings such as brightness etc etc.
Hopefully apple will release an update in the next iOS to help combat this well discussed topic.
I currently use the iPhone 4 which gives me easily a day and half with moderate to heavy usage. I have siri activated and get the same battery life.
i wonder if its the new processor chip and that the sensor is constantly firing to allow siri hands free activation.

if you've even gone as far as replacing the battery and voiding your warranty, then it seems like its a software problem.
i'd just be patient and wait for 5.1
My battery life is good. 3G and Wifi on ... I lose about 1% overnight.

Even on iPhone 4 I lose about 25-40% of battery life overnight... But it's always on charge over night.
I generally forget to plug mine in at night, but right now I'm at
55% battery

20 hours, 20 minutes standby
This is strange, my gf and I both recent got 4s's. My battery life is awesome where hers is horrid. I have jb both of them. Mine is themed to the nuts with a bunch of tweaks. Hers has nothing and with equal use, mine has triple artery life.when I go to bed I eneraly ave 50-60% where she's lucky to have 20%. Weird!!!
I nearly went to google "triple artery life" to see what it was. I thought it was a jb tweak or something then I realised you probably meant triple battery life
This is a weird issue to be sure as many people seem to suffer with it but many others, myself included, are very happy with the battery life.
Mine came off charge around 4 hours ago, has been used (lightly) and is currently showing 97%.
I can often go 2 days between charges and I have location services, wifi and bluetooth on permanently.

Something is off with a lot of the 4S batteries. I've tried several different tweaks and nothing changes. I can charge my phone in the evening and unplug it, go upstairs and go to bed. When I wake up in the morning, I have lost anywhere from 10 to 20 percent of just idling. Something is definitely wrong.
If u r not using your iPhone all day, how did u get 1.30 hour of usage?

I have a pretty horrible battery life on my 4S (which, yes, I do use it constantly) but I love it so much that I just keep a charger at home, work, and in my car and charge in between throughout the day. Hopefully an update or the next phone will have better battery life though.
