Anyone else having terrible battery life after the 11.3.1 update. My 9.7 iPad Pro will not last a Day since the update.

When did you do the update? Quite often it can take a bit of time for things to settle down post update.

This all said, I've heard of others also saying that 11.3 is pretty evil, battery wise.

My iPad Pro has been suffering from poor battery life, but it was prior to the 11.3 patch. I guess that’s just the consequences of 2+ years of heavy usage.

I updated when 11.3 came out. And I even erased all and reinstalled. And it’s still terrible. Apple ran a diagnostic and all is good. Frustrating.

Do you mean 11.3 or 11.3.1? My 2017 is fine with no change and good battery life on 11.3 (which I decided to stay on). I’ve read 11.3.1 may be more of an issue.

Been on 11.3.1 for several days with my 2017 IPP 12.9. No battery life issues. Standby time is still fantastic.

So my iPad has never had an issue with a software update. However my X had battery issues on 11.3 but when updated to 11.3.1 battery life returned to normal. However, I am learning more toward it simply needed a reset for some reason aha.

All the same, bet of luck to you, hopefully it straights itself out soon. ^

I also have been having poor battery life on my 10.5”. I’ve ran the diagnostics test with Apple and they said it was “OK”. They said to update to 11.3.1 (was on 11.3), but I don’t think it’s any better. It used to be alright back on 11.1, so it is probably 11.3 causing it I guess.

I did make a thread previously on here saying Battery Life said it has 11% wear back last year. It’s at 16% now. I know Battery life isn’t accurate, but I’m sure it’s close by like 3% give or take as it fluctuates between that usually.

Go to a few Apple stores. Ask them to look at the rate of degradation.

My iPad 12.9 2nd Generation continues to get amazing battery life. I average around 14 to 15 hours per charge, but it's been as high as 20.

My iPad 6 battery life seems to be running OK on iOS 11.3.1. However, after the update, the battery usage time (Time Since Last Full Charge) is not showing, even though I have charged the device at last 3 times so far.

Still bad and now my Smart Keyboard is no longer working. Have genius appointment today so let’s see what they say.

Not having any issues with my iPad. I'd recommend trying these iPad battery tips before visiting an Apple Store as others have recommended. You may also just need to restore your iPad. Good luck!
